Another bank scam, no rocket science required

I have made sure that any email I get has the ‘display images’ turned off if it is from nobody in my address book. I’d suggest that you might do the same. This will help flag up any spam messages and make sure that any ‘phone home’ pixels are disabled; this method is often used to see if yours is a valid email address.

This one was sent from what seemed to be a hotel email address (not shown), something that a bank would never do:




The fact that you have to click a link is also a bit of a giveaway.  This is inevitably a ‘phishing’ scam, trying to get your bank details in order to empty your account.
